ArmInfo. The Prosecutor General's Office is demanding the confiscation of real estate and movable property, as well as funds, from former Deputy Minister of Defense of Armenia Artur Aghabekyan, in favor of the Republic of Armenia.
According to the supervisory authority, the Department for the Confiscation of Illegally Produced Assets of the Prosecutor General's Office has filed a motion with the Anti-Corruption Court to confiscate the assets of the former Deputy Minister and former Member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Artur Alexandrovich Aghabekyan and related individuals in favor of the Republic of Armenia.
Subject to confiscation are three real estate properties, the right to acquire four real estate properties located in the Kentron administrative district of Yerevan, the current market value of one real estate property, three vehicles, participation in four legal entities, 27,597,000 drams as the remaining illegally obtained funds, and 8 million drams, which are not justified by the person's legitimate income, are of illegal origin, were transferred to a bona fide purchaser, or cannot be identified and confiscated.
